Grosse Pointe Blank [15th Anniversary Edition] [1997]

Video: 2/5

Yikes! Disney forsaken the round on this release. we was anticipating for at least other "Romy Michele" high quality transfer. Alas, what we have here is something that we can’t even name. It seems as even though the movie was dumped from a low-res give onto Blu-ray, with a few tweaking in between. Normally, we only state that there is no artifacting in the image. This has turn a staple in Blu-ray video transfers. Looks similar to someone longed for the memo. "Grosse Pointe Blank" has all the artifacting you could ever not inquire for. There is banding. There are application artifacts. There is crushing. There is corner enlargement and halos. It goes on and on. If that wasn’t bad enough, the picture is moreover tormented by inconsistency. The fleshtones waver, often is to worse. Contrast levels are all over the place. Black levels pierce from low and sable to hardly gray. Of march shade segregation is out. we could go on, but we regard you obtain the picture. If you are air blower of the movie then you will continue it. But we of course hope it doesn’t take Disney long to noticed that the blunder of their ways and let go a new minted Blu-ray. This let go receives the lowest rating we have ever since to a Blu-ray. we have advance to design better, but even by the layman’s standards this is poor. By the way, other box art inventory as 1.78:1 when the picture occupies 1.85:1.

Audio: 4/5

If ever there were a difference between audio and video qualities, this let go would be it. Despite the in few instances bad video quality, the audio comes by in excellent fashion. Once again, the lossless audio delivers in the song auditorium with more typical hits from the 80s. And again, the song is what essentially occupies the back speakers. This time there are a few action sequences that broach in the back channels. The LFE duct moreover gets a few use during this pursue sequences. The magnitude operation is more well-spoken and normal, leaving at the back the annoying magnitude masking of the DVD’s Dolby track. The discourse is clean. we can’t say the audio alone is value the ascent to Blu-ray, but it comes close.

Special Features: 0.5/5
