Why Kingdom Hearts Contingency Lapse To Consoles

Enough already. If Final Fantasy Versus XIII is obviously deceased and buried (which Square Enix says it isn't - but whatever), then change all those inner resources to Kingdom Hearts 3 and be completed with it. It's a harm to the franchise, the source element and the platforms to keep muscle action these games in to such ill-fitting confines.

Okay, I've got the light fury out of my system. The sky is not falling. Birth by Sleep and right away Dream Drop Distance are immaculately workable games. But is the array reaching its future on those platforms? we do not regard it is. Barring a few extreme change, Kingdom Hearts is always going to be better-suited for home consoles than handhelds. It's in the franchise's DNA. It's even clear in additions similar to Dream Drop Distance 's new "Flowmotion System," for instance, that sends Sora bouncing off walls and objects, similar to flare posts and even enemies. It's not a bad thought and would be a good add-on to a console game. On the 3DS shade though? There's only as well sufficient going on.

Admittedly, it's improved right away than it used to be. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is to Nintendo DS was an excellent technical effort, but its tender merge of becloud textures and contrary colors made it hard to look at. By comparison, Dream Drop Distance is really easy on the eyes - well-spoken textures, splendid models (an look by Ursula 5 mins in to the diversion really takes the cake), and plain pyrotechnics bring it closer than ever to replicating the look and feel of the PlayStation 2 games.

Then there's the fact that by gripping one of its many critical franchises on handheld, Square Enix has boxed itself in. Dragon Quest worked in segment since its typical format and its unique take on multiplayer. Final Fantasy has a million not similar permutations, a few of that work really well on handhelds (see: Final Fantasy Tactics ). With the difference of Chain of Memories though, Kingdom Hearts has always been the same. Therefore far, Square Enix has declined to take the array in new directions, and a total reinvention seems out of the subject until a Kingdom Hearts 3 is developed. And Square Enix is unquestionably not going to put a loyal Kingdom Hearts continuation on a handheld ( Dragon Quest IX , as I've already mentioned, is something of a unique case).
