Mr Domscheit-Berg, who has created a book about his time with Wikileaks and proposed his own competing site, told the programme in a wide-ranging talk that he and others voiced concerns about Mr Assange's care and the two split ways final autumn.
Mr Assange, who is now fighting extradition from the UK to Sweden to face allegations of passionate assault, did not give Panorama's solicit for an interview. He denies the allegations against him and his conference resumes Friday in London.
