Bank Card Scammer Locked Up In UK

A German fraud artist who attempted to bring new bank card scamming technology in to the UK has been jailed.

Thomas Beeckmann was arrested at Victoria trainer hire in London after nearing from Holland in June.

Investigators mentioned he was carrying sufficient dilettante apparatus to rob up to 150 million a year.

"This apparatus showed levels of lack of simplicity not formerly seen by investigators in this country," Judge Anthony Morris said.

"It seems to have been a manikin run."

It is considered that Beeckmann was on his way to denote the technology to prospective buyers in the UK.

Prosecutors mentioned he was found with 17 electronic circuits, 3 of that had already been blending to use with Bluetooth wireless technology.

It meant that is to initial time criminals could automatically obtain promissory note sum as cards were fed in to ATMs at banks or during purchases at stores.

This would enable information to be received on to a laptop or mobile phone up to 100 metres away.

The 26-year-old, a program consultant living in Thailand, pleaded guilty to having the 17 circuits for use in fraud and disaster to divulge passwords to encrypted data.

He has been locked up for a complete of 3 years.
