IPhone 4S Launch: The Day's Must-See Photos

Today's the day we've been expecting for months: iPhone 4S launch day. Apple fans strike retailers in droves to obtain their hands on the new handset, face to face with wind, sleet and, maybe many dangerously of all, other Apple aficionados.

The iPhone 4S has shown phenomenally burly pre-order figures , and by the looks of it, first-day sales won't be as well worn out possibly (some estimates are pegging sales of over 4 million for this week end alone). Some fortunate German folks who pre-ordered the phone received their units a few days early . The who longed for out on the luck to pre-order, but still wanted to obtain the handset on gap day, had to mount in line to collect up the 4S this morning.

Here are some of the preferred iPhone 4S launch day images from around the world.

The cardboard-based hats do not look as well comfortable, but at least they make you mount out in a throng (and obtain your print taken by the press). (AP Photo/Itsuo Inouye)
