Weather Central and News Over Wireless (NOW) denounced WeatherNOW at NAB 2011. WeatherNOW is a local continue focus that allows broadcasters and other media companies to offer an iPhone and iPad app to their viewers. The hyper-local app combines Weather Central's calm with the local skill of local TV hire meteorologists and the media company's brand. WRAL-TV is the initial media firm to make the app existing to its viewers.

The app, that is existing from NOW and Weather Central, is preconfigured with any media company's calm and logos. Once a media firm launches its app by the iTunes App Store, the continue information delivered by Weather Central automatically updates with no bid on the segment of the media company.

Features of the app add user-customizable town forecasts, location-based interactive radio detector and mapping from Weather Central, Weather Central's location-based Interactive Futurecast and mapping, integrated station-specific content, and predict pages with customized graphics formed on time of day and stream conditions.

WRAL-TV branded the app as the "O-Fishel Weather app," declared for long-time its arch meteorologist, Greg Fishel. The WRAL O-Fishel Weather app has 10 calm categories inclusive forecast, location-based maps, video, Dual-Doppler, continue alerts and charge tracker. Users can download the app for their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad by probing for "WRAL Weather" in iTunes.
