Sony's New Compact Mirrorless Camera, The NEX-C3

It looks similar to the rumors and leaks were deceased on - almost. Sony's ultimate mirrorless NEX camera has been done strictly official, and it is truly a smaller, lighter chronicle of the NEX-3. Called the NEX-C3, it's basically a condensed camera with a large sensor and complementary lenses.

The a thing the rumors got incorrect was obviously flattering big. "Leaked" photos showed the same camera you have here, usually with a massive flip-out LCD screen. This has left in the shipping model. I checked back to see if may be the leaked photos showed an unlabeled NEX-C5 instead, but it says C3 on the tip plate.

On to the specs. A new sensor gives 16.2 MP, captures 720p video and will fire in the dim at up to ISO 12,800. It has a large 3-inch LCD screen, and Sony claims that the battery will final for 400 still shots on a singular charge. That's not bad for a mirrorless camera - my Panasonic GF-1 is the usually camera I ever paid for a free battery for (and it cost roughly 90, or $130. Ouch).

The NEX-C3 will be existing in Aug and cost $650 in a pack with an 18-55mm lens. There will moreover be a chronicle shipping with a 16mm lens for $600.
