Microsoft Buys Yammer For $1.2bn

Microsoft has fixed it has paid for the office amicable network site Yammer for $1.2bn.

The business, that is 4 years aged and has 5 million users, operates similar to Facebook for information inside of companies.

There had been reports the two were discussing about a treat but Microsoft usually fixed the outline on Monday .

Yammer is used by firms inclusive the engine hulk Ford and the business services definite Deloitte.

Microsoft hopes the merger will make its operation of program products more appealing.

Last year it paid for the communications business Skype and is integrating it in to its products, inclusive its Office program that contributed 60% of its increase final year.

Yammer skeleton to go on to offer its service in the way it does currently.

Yammer's arch senior manager David Sacks said: "When you proposed Yammer 4 years ago, you set out to do something big.

"We had a prophesy for how amicable networking could change the way you work. Joining Microsoft will speed up that prophesy and give us access to the technologies, skill and resources we'll must be scale and innovate."
