How Many Robots?

How many robots run on Arduino? we unequivocally do not know. The guys from Complubot keep on sending cinema from the robots they are anticipating at the Robo Cup in Mexico DF. Want to see a few pictures? Look at the following:

The Japanese Team on Soccer B have been using Arduino for 3 years now. The robots on the photo are usually using the IDE, as they done their own PCBs to horde 8 InfraRed sensors, a compass, and the engine drivers. Take a closer look at it on the next picture.

On the other hand, the German team, running on an Arduino Mega, are determining 60 InfraRed sensors to discover the round on the field. They got the 1st cost on Soccer A Open and have been using Arduino for just one year.

I gamble you wish to see that drudge closer, 60 IR sensors are quite many. It moreover controls 4 UltraSound sensors and 1 Compass. Quite an achievement. Look at this:

Well, the photo isn't very sharp, but you can evidently see the amount of sensors on that machine. we have to make a few more investigate to comprehend what is the black cosmetic thingy on the tip house of the robot. It feels similar to a few arrange of empty pipe. The black dots on the red PCB are the IR sensors.

If there is a group that beats all about the amount of time they have been using Arduino, is the Mexican forthcoming from UNAM. On the Soccer B category, these guys have been running their drudge on Arduino for usually 2 months!! They are however determining 8 IR sensors and one Compass over I2C.

Also from Mexico, this time participating on the Rescue competition, we find a group with a unequivocally extended age range. The group from Monterrey ranges between 10 and 19 and done a drudge tranquil by Arduino Uno.

The Swiss group has been using Arduino during 2 years and are the usually one in my list that have proposed using a camera. They run their bots on Arduino Mega and manage 12 IR and 4 US sensors.

If there is a nation that is good know for soccer that is Brazil. Their Rescue A group at the RCJ looks similar to this:

And their robots are flattering easy to spot, representation black with an Arduino Mega in the stomach:

To shut the post, we wish to uncover you an image of my preferred drudge so far. It is the one done by one of the Mexican teams once again in the Soccer B category. It's platforms are done in timber and it is a masterwork of a multiple of glue-gun and breadboard. Sometimes we regard we need so sufficient to erect things, and others advance to remind us how easy it is to make things come about with whatever you have in hand. If there was a cost to the many low-tech answer at this competition, this group would win or be amid the finalists.

Oh, approbation … and a photo of the team:

Soon: a few more images and thoughts about The Arduino Robot, after one week of beta contrast in Mexico, stay tuned!
