Twitter Claims To Have 100m Users

The micro-blogging site Twitter has mentioned active users have transfered the 100 million mark, but it has no skeleton to turn a open company.

The company's arch senior manager told a headlines discussion it was scheming to enlarge its business operation by broadening the areas of its service where adverts appear.

But Dick Costolo moreover mentioned he longed for the business to sojourn independent.

He mentioned active users, who record on at least once a month, rose 82% this year.

Half of these 100 million record on at least once a day.

Twitter lifted $400m (250m) in project funds appropriation this summer.

Mr Costolo said: "We wish to be able to sojourn independent, blossom the business the way you wish to, and not be gratified to open markets until you feel similar to you wish to be."

The firm began display adverts in paltry areas of its service in 2010.

But it is anxious that commercialisation infrequently alienates users of amicable media.

Mr Costolo mentioned the results had exceeded Twitter's expectations: "We right away feel that formed on the rendezvous rates we're seeing... that we're ready to spread this further."

It has 200 million purebred users, whilst Facebook has 750 million.
