Milkymist And Arduino " A Workshop

Sebastien is the author of one of the many engaging FPGA platforms we have seen recently. we posted something about it final year. Back then he was only prototyping his boards. Currently the OSHW pattern may be found at not similar retailers and it is so steady that may be used for prolongation of visuals and art installations. He declared it Milkymist and is right away compelling it around the world.

The Milkymist One is an open hardware live video synthesizer. Connect a camera and a videoprojector, press the power button, and seconds later, all you movie becomes live unusual belongings of shade and light. Point the camera at a dancer on stage, at people in attendance your party, at toys, use UV-glow paint... there are no boundary to creativity! If no camera setup is available, the Milkymist One can create quite generative belongings that conflict to the ambient sound, creation it an preferred choice for song bands, clubs and celebration organizers who wish a warden answer for elementary visible effects.

Lekernel, as you will find him on email lists and the like, has even left a dock for gadgets to send manage commands over sequence port. One of his examples includes using an Arduino house to read any type of sensor and send the information encoded as MIDI to the Milkymist.
