Brompton Reveals Mysterious 'Project X': The EBrompton

Oh, man. First Bob Dylan went electric, and right away Brompton. The London-based folding bike creator has at final suggested the fact at the back its long (and rather tedious) "Project X" teaser campaign: An eBrompton.

The data is still only dribbling from the company, though. Little more has been suggested than that the bike will have a tiny electric motor, and that this engine won't meddle with the mythological "fold," that creates the Brompton a of the smallest bikes around when full down. The new e-bike will go on sale in the UK and Germany next year, and the rest of the world will follow in 2013.

One thing is flattering certain, though: a engine will increase weight. When roving a Brompton, it's 9-12.5kg (20-28 pound) weight is light enough, but when you have to bring the folded package up 5 flights of steps (as we do many days) it starts to feel a little heavy. Then again, we theory any person thin sufficient to be shopping an electric bike may lives in a office building with an elevator.

Weight problems aside, I'm vehement to find out how the eBrompton will work. The right away typical position of the initial frequently hides the enhancement of its design. we hope the electric chronicle is likewise clever.
