LG and Sony not long ago forsaken obvious suits against any other and sealed a cross-licensing treat after 3 years of disputes over smartphone, Blu-ray and TV technologies. Sony hasn't sued LG yet, so this contingency fit inside of the confines of their treat -- maybe since Sony's product is a display, meaning it won't right away take broadcasts, and LG's is a true-blue TV. Or maybe it's all in the name: Sony's split-screen tech is called SimulView whilst LG's is called Dual Play. See? Totally different.
