Asus WAVI Xtion Comes In October

It looks similar to Asus is channeling a few Kinect with its WAVI Xtion suit controller, that is approaching to be marketed by October this year. This device was combined in partnership with PrimeSense, the same firm that partnered with Microsoft to rise Kinect, that is because the similarities and capabilities between the two are uncanny.

According to Asus, the WAVI Xtion would bring the "fun and function" of the Kinect to the PC. The firm even hopes that the device would take desktop PCs to a entire new turn of interactivity, only similar to what the Kinect did to the Xbox 360.

This is not the initial time Asus looked to the gaming attention for inspiration. It launched the Eee Stick several years after the Wii, targetting buyers of its renouned Eee netbooks. The Eee Stick functions similar to Nintendo's Wii Remotes for netbooks, but consumers assumingly were not shopping it.

Digitimes reports that the Asus WAVI Xtion would be labelled between $250 and $300, that is more costly than Kinect's $150 cost tag. The device will reportedly be existing initial in China, where the Xbox 360 is banned. The expect let go date, meanwhile, waste unclear.
