At IBC2011, Sonnet Technologies will showcase high-performance Thunderbolt-enabled RAID storage and the Echo Express PCIe 2.0 enlargement framework for Thunderbolt.
The Echo Express PCI2 2.0 enables the use of special-purpose PCIe cards, such as full size video takeover cards, 8Gb Fiber Channel Cards and 10Gb Ethernet cards, with Thunderbolt-equipped computers. Also featured will be the Fusion RX1600 Vfibre high-performance workgroup common storage system, that offers a built-in SAN controller, up to 16 onboard 8Gb Fiber Channel ports and 10Gb Ethernet connectivity out of the box.
Debuting at IBC2011, Sonnet's Fusion F2-SSD two-SSD RAID storage network betters the opening of its Fusion F2 predecessor. Mounting two high-performance 2.5in, 256MB SSDs (solid state drives) corresponding in a difficult aluminum enclosing about the size of two built CD cases, this silent-running condensed network offers editors high opening in the margin and on location.
