There's a few unequivocally pleasing town environments, for example, and a world savaged by an asteroid, of that you're a "special" survivor. There are dune buggies to race around, and a small bit of open world to explore. And yes, the freaks are still there, but there's moreover a organisation called The Authority perplexing to put the leg irons on the world, and a Resistance perplexing to keep them off.
