Darksiders 2 Preview: Death Pays A Visit

That's what comic book artist-turned Vigil Games owner Joe Madureira did, and even though Darksiders 2 unquestionably looks similar to it's branch out well, even he says he had doubts. "I still consternation if it's a chic thing," he told me at Comic-Con this week, "because often when you're office building a authorization around a character, you unequivocally try and keep the same character." Well, yeah .

"But it was a duration apprehension. As shortly as you concepted him and you had him running in the game, it was a cooler character." He says that THQ didn't have a complaint with the change either: "They were like, yeah, this is a cold idea."

One of the greatest complaints about the initial Darksiders diversion is how sufficient it aped more aware titles similar to The Legend of Zelda , in that War explored only a couple of dungeons, won collection to full puzzles, and non-stop up areas of the diversion in a preset order. But Madureira says whilst the group listened the complaints, he didn't finish up profitable them sufficient heed.

" It type of rolled off our back," he says, " Zelda for grown-ups, as I've listened it called, is not unequivocally a bad thing to us. I regard that's completely cool." Madureira thinks the new gameplay features will answer the concerns a bit as well. " I regard with the add-on of rob drops and talent trees, it unequivocally does have a unique feel to it." Not that Zelda games are ever bad, he admits. " There should be more games similar to that, honestly. If similar to 3 Zelda games came out every year, I'd be unequivocally excited."

We'll take his word on that a for right away -- there will be lots more suggested about the story and the diversion itself as you pierce towards let go "next year."
