Battlefield 3 Might Not Advance To Steam, According To EA's List

Steam, that not long ago private ( and reinstalled ) a brood of EA games from its site due to ostensible contractual infringement, is not listed amid Battlefield 3 's digital retailers. EA's new digital service, Origin , is referred to first, but so are other online placement sites such as Direct2Drive and GamersGate. EA has said it will offer games on all download sites and that Origin is not an endeavor to vie with Steam, that has over 30 million unique users.

EA Support describes its complex back-door attribute with third-party download sites, referring to a distributor in a especially unclear manner: "When a download service forbids publishers from contacting players with patches, new levels, things and other services - it disrupts the aptitude to give the continuing encouragement players design from us. At present, this is the box with usually a download service. While EA offers its whole portfolio to this site, they have inaugurated to not post many of the games. We hope to find a jointly acceptable answer to this situation soon."

[Thanks, Jake!]
