Yeah, man. That certain sounds relaxing. So because is it that Artech's new downloadable diversion The UnderGarden leaves me feeling listless, irritated and hazily irritated?
According to the game's selling materials, The UnderGarden is a "Zen Game." That sounds really nice. But wait, what does that even mean? Is this diversion meant to be relaxing? Meditative? Is it simply that it's easy? Or maybe it will help me to accomplish a few arrange of enlightenment?
I can't say I'm coherent on the answer and neither, it would seem, are The UnderGarden 's creators. The diversion of course bears all the hallmarks of a relaxing experience -- as we played, my shade was continually awash with soothing blues and splendid floral hues, a radiant tableaux of opening up sea anemones speckling the walls of a coral reef. The soundtrack is a pacific blend of harmless synth woodwinds and pentatonic beam layered over a soothing genealogical beat. The principal disposition is a near-perfect blend of Gizmo the Mogwai, Sackboy and Tinky Winky the Teletubby.
