President Barack Obama has requested scarcely $347 million in his mercantile 2013 bill to account the FCC - a shrinking of scarcely $7.5 million from final year's budget.
The budget, submitted to Congress Feb. 13, includes appropriation is to agency's efforts to dive deployment of broadband Internet service, exercise reforms to Universal Service Fund programs and deposit in technical and engineering capabilities to pick out RF interference.
The appropriation request, segment of Obama's $3.8 trillion dollar budget, proposes giving the FCC control to levy spectrum fees on users, such as broadcasters. Previous efforts to approve the group to gather spectrum fees have stalled in Congress.
