Microsoft Reportedly Seeking For New Project Gotham Dev; Spencer Wants 'the Correct Chance And The Correct Team'

Develop's source says that Microsoft is in talks with a few European devs to take the license, ostensible to show that Turn 10 ( Forza ) would not take the wheel, as has been formerly rumored . When you spoke with Microsoft Game Studios team leader Phil Spencer in September, he told Joystiq, "We do not have a developer for PGR," lending some faith to the story. Lending serve credence: his love is to series. "I love PGR ," he told us.

"We were conversing about it only a couple months ago," Spencer continued. "We do not have any skeleton for it correct right away but I do know that many of our team that worked on PGR are still in the studio. So, at some point, I can still see us carrying out something with it if you find the correct chance and the correct team. We could make something happen." So, it's a track for developers then! If you were Microsoft, we'd work something out with Disney to bring on Brighton-based Black Rock Studio ( Split/Second ) to hoop it, but you'd be repelled how frequency we're consulted on these things.
