The spaceship was carried to an rgreat heights of 45,000ft (13,700m) by an aeroplane and then forsaken to slide back to the Mojave Air and Space Port.
Enterprise will shortly be receiving people ready to pay $200,000 (126,000) on partial hops on top of the atmosphere.
The British billionaire at the back the project, Sir Richard Branson, was on palm to declare the tumble test.
"This was one of the many interesting days in the entire story of Virgin," the investor said.
"For the initial time given you severely began the plan in 2004, I watched the world's initial manned blurb spaceship alighting on the runway at Mojave Air and Space Port and it was a great moment."
Virgin Galactic is aiming to turn the world's initial blurb space line, and has already taken deposits from 370 customers who wish to experience a couple of mins of lightness on a suborbital flight.
The Enterprise liner is formed on the X-Prize-winning SpaceShipOne vehicle, that done story in 2004 by successfully drifting to 100km (60 miles) in rgreat heights twice in a two-week period.
The new ship, built by Mojave's Scaled Composites company, is bigger and will be able of carrying 8 people - two organisation and 6 passengers.
When it finally enters service, Enterprise will be carried to its launch rgreat heights by the "Eve" conduit craft before being expelled in mid-air. Enterprise will then set fire to its singular hybrid space station engine to make the climb to space.
Although Eve and Enterprise have done a few assessment flights together, Sunday was the initial time the spaceplane had been expelled at altitude.
Two pilots were at the controls, Pete Siebold and Mike Alsbury. They guided the liner back to the Mojave runway.
The entire flight took about 25 minutes. On after that assessment flights, Enterprise will fire its space station engine.
Only when engineers are contented all systems are working accurately will passengers be authorised to climb aboard.
