EastEnders To Go HD At Christmas

BBC One uncover EastEnders will be announce in high clarification is to initial time on XMas Day, the firm has announced.

The soap will come together other shows such as Doctor Who and Top Gear that are already being shown in the HD format.

EastEnders senior manager writer Bryan Kirdwood mentioned the uncover would be "even more spectacular" in HD.

The BBC One HD duct will be launched on 3 November, that will simulcast the BBC One schedule.

The most of renouned shows inclusive The Apprentice, Strictly Come Dancing, Children in Need, Antiques Roadshow and Countryfile will be shown in HD.

Shows that are not done in HD - inclusive EastEnders up until XMas Day - will still be shown on BBC One HD, but will be upscaled.

Upscaling does not offer the same photo high quality as HD.

Jana Bennett, head of BBC Vision, said: "Whether it is saying the flutter of exasperation on Lord Sugar's face in a boardroom showdown or examination the beads of persperate fly from the dancers on Strictly, BBC One HD is the greatest pointer nonetheless that HD observation is right away segment of the mainstream."
