Media Bureau Demand Clears Way For Toledo Stations To Strive Local Network Exclusivity

The FCC Media Bureau released two orders on Aug. 27 anticipating that Detroit stations WXYX and WJBK-DT no longer are significantly noticed in Toledo, OH, and postulated two Toledo stations network exclusivity rights on line and heavenly body systems in Toledo.

Buckeye Cablevision, the line TV user in Toledo carrying the Detroit stations, against the move, whilst the two Toledo stations WTVG-DT, an ABC affiliate, and WUPW-DT, a FOX affiliate, sought a waiver of network exclusivity is to Detroit stations in Toledo.

Buckeye against the petitions of the Toledo stations, adage their petitions were flawed, dead against to assignment rules, and that complying with the waivers would be technically unrealizable due to the cost involved.
