Symbian Bids Goodbye To North America

It is really sufficient without doubt that Symbian , Nokia's local mobile OS, has seen improved days. But whilst Nokia will try to keep Symbian applicable in many key regions around the world, the OS will of course bid goodbye to North America, that gave no admire to Symbian correct from the beginning as its users preference iOS and Android.

In an talk with All Things D, President of Nokia's U.S.A. operations Chris Weber says that the launch of Windows Phones in Nokia handsets is "essentially" a pointer of Symbian's adieu to North America. This means that Nokia will not let go full-price or business-focused gadgets in the U.S.

Despite its unhappy sales opening in the region, Nokia pins its hopes at the yet-to-be-unveiled, Windows Phone-based Sea Ray. Perhaps building gadgets with Windows Phones is Nokia's final review to make it large in this immeasurable market.

"The reality is if you are not successful with Windows Phone, it doesn't matter what you do," Weber said.
