Sonnet Technologies has introduced the YinYang FireWire 800 to FireWire 400/800 mini hub. This device enables users to link up a FireWire 800 device in addition to a FireWire 400 device to a P.C. concurrently by a singular FireWire 800 port.
FireWire 800 is a swift marginal connection enclosed on the ultimate iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro and MacBook Pro computers. These Macs (with the difference of the Mac Pro) have usually a singular FireWire 800 (IEEE-1394b) dock and no FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394a) port. This reduction poses a dare when the need arises to link up a FireWire 400 device or more than a FireWire device. Two FireWire peripherals, such as outmost drives, DV camcorders, Webcams, audio interfaces and previous-generation iPod mobile digital devices, may be concurrently related and used. No adapter or line swapping is required.
YinYang is tiny and portable, requires no power adapter, needs no motorist program and functions with all manufacturers' FireWire peripherals.
