Rael Concept Bike With Rear-View Camera

Evan Solida's Rael is nonetheless other process bike, although this a doesn't haggle with the verified double-triangle frame, wheels and chain. Instead, it aims to make a periodic carbon-fiber road-bike safer to ride.

What you do not see is Solida's Cervellum Hindsight digital rearview camera dark in the seat-stays. It every time archives a double back of video and if it detects a collision with its accelerometer, it keeps recording for 10 seconds and then stops, gripping the footage as evidence. The Cervellum can moreover be bending up to a 3.5-inch transflective (viewable in sunlight) LCD shade mounted on the handlebars, giving you a digital rear-view mirror.

The segment you do see is the redesigned brakes and handlebars. The drops have been refashioned in to pistol-grips, and the stop levers flipped to indicate up instead of down. The indicate is to let the index fingers obtain to the levers either you're roving on the hoods of the brakes or down in the drops.

Everything else is flattering standard, as it should be, although far from pedestrian. the gears, for example, are Shimano's Di2 electronic-shifters.

The bike might be a concept, but the Cervellum camera is on its way to market, although there's still no launch date. And as process bikes go, this a looks similar to it would obviously be great to ride.
