On the ultimate part of 1up.com's Retronauts podcast, you present the Year in Review. Not this year, of course; that would be ridiculous. No, instead you examination the gaming accomplishments of years past, in five-year increments. So you confer 1972, then 1977, then 1982, then 1987 and so onward until you run out of engaging things to say. As it turns out, these were main years, featuring the launch of the initial home diversion console, the Atari 2600, the games that led up to the large attention crash, etc. I am invited to lay with horde Bob Mackey, Gamasutra's Christian Nutt and IGN's Sam Claiborn to remember about times past.
