Funerals at a Staffordshire crematorium will shortly be streamed on the internet.
Stafford Borough Council, that runs the crematorium on Tixall Road, mentioned webcams were being commissioned in the chapel, along with a new song system.
It mentioned mourners who were as well sick or as well far divided to attend in person would be able to watch services by entering a Pin code.
Anthony Evans from the legislature mentioned internet safety would stop people from intruding on other services.
He mentioned an 80,000-track song database would enable family groups to select songs to fool around at funerals, without having to hunting for them at such a tough time.
Mr Evans mentioned the technology would enable family groups to have a "more significant funeral".
