Wifi Network Visualization

Immaterials: Light fine art WiFi from Timo on Vimeo .

Very engaging cognisance of the wi-fi network using Arduino and a wi-fi antenna. It's the same process of the other "Immaterial" movie: the visualisation of an RFID receiver operation .

This movie is about questioning and contextualising WiFi networks by visualisation. It is done by Timo Arnall , Jrn Knutsen , Einar Sneve Martinussen . The movie is a delay of the explorations of unsubstantial phenomena that have implications for pattern and outcome how both products and cities are experienced. Matt Jones of BERG has epitomised these phenomena as 'Immaterials', and uses sociality, data, time and air wave as examples. Radio and wireless information are a essential segment of the building of networked cities. This generates what William Mitchell called an 'electromagnetic terrain' that is both complicated and invisible, and usually hinted at by the participation of antennas (2004, p.55).
