New FCC information reveals that as of Dec. 31, 2010, there were 1781 full-power TV stations on the air in the United States.

The tally, segment of an FCC inform expelled Feb. 11 inventory all announce stations on-air, consists of UHF and VHF blurb TV stations together with informative TV stations. Specifically, the number of full-power TV stations on-air includes 1022 UHF blurb stations, 368 VHF blurb stations, 284 UHF informative stations and 107 VHF informative stations.

The FCC moreover tallied Class A and low-power TV stations. The total exhibit that final year, there were 522 Class A stations on-air, of that 441 were UHF and 81 VHF.
