ConvergeUS Hope

A new non-profit organization is aiming to use the power of the open web to emanate actual amicable change.

ConvergeUS, founded by TechNet's Ray Ramsey and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, believes it can speed up amicable enhancement by assisting gifted people to work together in the actual world together with online.

"If you regard of Silicon Valley, it's well known for its openness, and APIs and things similar to that," Mr Ramsey told Digital Planet.

"We haven't completed as ample of that collaborative considering and networking in the amicable space.

"We have a lot of particular initiatives, and you wish to do a small bit more collaboration."

High on the bulletin will be the US preparation system, an area that Mr Ramsey believes can use technology more effectively, quite in aiding getting more information proficiency.

"There's a lot of great that technology can do but it could be misapplied."

He believes that whilst many companies and organisations are seeking at ways to upgrade this situation, really couple of are clubbing together to share information and put it to great use.

"The consortium of foundations that we're going to be working with, you wish to mix forces since they have been analysing it, and study it."

The organization is already using a number of technology heavyweights such as Intel and Cisco.

The organization aims to grip annual summits together with give "innovation marketplaces" online, assisting gifted people advance together and work.

Particularly exciting, Mr Ramsey says, is work that may be completed to help the aging in place - the tenure given to aged people who wish to sojourn in their own home or environment for as long as possible.

"We've got, in the United States, in Europe, Japan, a number of countries, an aging demographic to a few extent.

"There's a few captivating technologies that capacitate people to live in their homes a small longer."

"That has extensive promising when you look at the debates around medicare and medicade and the sorts of problems that will cost a lot.

"We can keep a person in the home a small longer by monitoring devices, and chic pharmacy cabinets and other sorts of things that are there."

ConvergeUS will, as its name suggests, be focusing on American initiatives, but if successful, they hope to bring their truth to other tools of the world in due course.
