Cheap Thermocam Around 100$

[Max] forwarded me an splendid plan about a DIY Themal Camera. The on the whole cost for office building it is around 104$, compairing to veteran products trimming from from 2000$ to 30.000$.

after a few time of investigate we wish to present my ultimate plan called "Cheap-Thermocam". It enables to emanate thermal images of houses, electrical gadgets or other things. An infrared sensor is mounted on two servos for relocating it up/down – left/right. For an visual picture of the scanned area, a webcam is commissioned beneath the sensor. An easy to setup P.C. program created in JAVA shows a preview of the webcam picture and then collects all the heat information neccessarry to emanate the thermal image. To do this, 1344 singular points are deliberate in about 2 minutes, this is a rare fortitude of 42×32 Pixels. The value of my plan compared to blurb thermal cameras is clearly the price. Another certain aspect is that the cinema may be analysed and edited with my easy to use pc software. The whole plan may be built in 2-3 hours without any tough tools do be soldered.

Related Arduino projects about this thesis may be seen here (DIY Thermal Imaging System for beneath $200) and here (Thermoscanner). All Codes are provided
