The US has put China's tip finding engine Baidu on a list of "notorious markets" for tawdry and pirated goods.
The US Trade Representative (USTR) indicted Baidu of steering consumers to third-party websites where pirated element is hosted.
Baidu is the most-visited website in China and amid the tip 10 in the world, USTR mentioned .
Critics charge China of not safeguarding egghead skill rights.
Baidu's orator Kaiser Kuo declined to criticism when contacted by the BBC.
In its report, the USTR moreover highlighted what it mentioned were unlawful sales by sell outlets and Chinese markets.
"Industry reports that personal P.C. malls via China, such as Hailong Mall in Beijing and Yangpu Yigai digital block in Shanghai, sell computers with unlawful working program and other unlawfully pre-installed software," it said.
The USTR mentioned that the prolongation and sales of tawdry products were damaging to the expansion and success of businesses opposite the globe.
"Piracy and counterfeiting criticise the enhancement and creativity that is key to the universal competitiveness," mentioned USTR's Ron Kirk, who is President Barack Obama's leading traffic advisor.
"These scandalous markets not usually harm American workers and businesses, but are threats to entrepreneurs and industries around the world," he added.
In its bid to safeguard American businesses against piracy, the US Chamber of Commerce has urged the supervision to block unfamiliar websites that sell unlawful products from working in the US.
