Sony has introduced its initial 3-D single-body camcorders for veteran applications at the 2011 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

The new models add the PMW-TD300 shoulder-mount camcorder and the HXR-NX3D1U NXCAM condensed camcorder.

The PMW-TD300 features a twin 1/2in Exmor 3 CMOS sensor pattern with full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The camcorder is formed on the XDCAM EX recording platform, permitting users to take value of a solid-state workflow for limit flexibility.

Left and correct eye signals are concurrently available onto well-defined SxS cards (four SxS card slots in total, two slots for any view). The camera's shoulder-mount pattern provides fortitude in run-and-gun sharpened environments, permitting veteran shooters to fret reduction about ergonomics and combine more on getting the correct shot.

An inter-axial stretch of 45mm delivers a far-reaching operation of sharpened zones to takeover high quality 3-D images, notably for near-side sharpened with a 1.2m minimum joining distance. A newly created dual-lens network allows for full synchronization with high correctness in focusing, zooming and iris adjustment. The camera is switchable between 2-D and 3-D modes.
