The Darkness 2 Preview: Murderous Multi-tasking

"At the end, you see Jackie going nuts with the devil arms, but you can't fool around that," Digital Extremes plan executive Sheldon Carter lamented about the initial game, "and that's what we longed for to play. So that's what we're carrying out is to second game."

Watching a guided demo at GDC, the developer's assignment was clear: Jackie is far more assertive and absolute in the sequel.

Using the left trigger, Jackie can squeeze things (and enemies) in the mood and use them as guns or cover, but the rupturing functions in a more unique way. By keeping in the correct trigger, players can crack the correct thumbstick to chop boldly for a few hideous attacks. Enemies may be broken up horizontally and vertically, or you can beginning with their arms initial -- The Darkness 2 not usually ramps up Jackie's abilities, but moreover the penetrate factor.
